Episode 3 New Cover

The new cover for Other-Terrestrial Episode 1 – Leviathan!

I have just concluded the editing of Episode 6 of Other-Terrestrial, and have started preparing it for posting!
I’d have liked to have given more updates along the way, but life is turning hectic. I may be busier in the future, though I will continue to write, and the future story of Other-Terrestrial will carry on for quite some time – at this point I have concrete plans for the next 4-5 episodes, and there will certainly be more to tell out beyond that.
But for now – look forward to the start of Episode 6 – Diplomatic Maneuvers!
Thank you for sticking it out, if you’ve read to this point! Your likes and views are incredibly appreciated.
I’ve not appeared very active lately, posting here or on the Facebook page, but I have been busy behind the scenes, and Episode 6 is very far along. There will be at least a few more weeks before the writing is complete, and then editing will follow, but that does not take as long. I would expect the episode to be finished and posting before this month is out.

Episode 5 of Other-Terrestrial is written, and editing is wrapping up! Starting next Monday, the episode will begin!
Entitled “Trial”, this episode is big in scope for the characters, and will conclude several plotlines set up by previous episodes. Other-Terrestrial is nowhere near being done, however, and I have plenty of plans for the next few episodes. Things will kick up a notch in Episode 6, we’ll see the referenced (and famous in-setting) Gohhi Station in Episode 7, and Episode 8 is planned to return once more to the cosmic horror that is one of the series’ bases.
And beyond that there’s still plenty more to come.
Yesterday was the final post of Episode 4 – Home.
How did you enjoy it? Please comment your thoughts!
Episode 5 is still in production, but will be finished soon – I cannot say when, exactly, as real life is demanding much of my time and energy. But there are only a few scenes left to write before editing can begin, and then it will be a swift process to get it out.
For those reading this, thank you.
If you’re a writer, do you listen to music as you work?
Aside from the fantastic music from my friend at WeLoudAF (who did the intro/outro music for the audio episodes; check out his Youtube channel here!)
One of my personal favorites (besides the ones in my audio episodes!)
Beyond this, I have a whole slew of favorites!
Aviators does a whole lot of music themed around cosmic horror, as well as some of my favorite games, like Bloodborne and Dark Souls. His songs are often quite moody, with a great beat. Fantastic for dark or particularly eldritchy scenes. Some of my faves include Red Hood, Fading Light, Summon the Choir, Outside, Far Side, and Can You Hear It. Really so many.
Miracle of Sound is an absolute legend, going into a thousand different styles and doing great with all of them. While his music covers many particular moods as well, I find his power songs to be particularly good when I want energy. His songs based on Bloodborne are truly in the theme of cosmic horror – Paleblood Moon and A Thousand Eyes.
The music of Veela is very good, too, in its dream-like qualities. I find that listening to her music helps me to relax and get into the mindset of characters who are experiencing deep feelings. Drift Away is a fantastic one, as is Cerulean if you really want to dive into a dream-like mental state.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Perturbator over the last week as well. Fantastic stuff, and very good for writing to in general – I can’t think of a time I wouldn’t want to have his music come on in my playlist. Venger, in particular, is such a great song.
If you prefer something more orchestral, I personally love the works of Graham Plowman. He’s a professional composer who has done many, many works inspired by H.P. Lovecraft! All of it is spectacularly moody and well-made. I think Dream in the Witch’s House stands out to me a lot in particular.
My picks might not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for new music, check them out!
If you’re a writer, what kind of music do you like to listen to while you write (if any)? And even if you’re not a writer, who is your favorite musician?
The first week of posts has gone by. Have you enjoyed the beginning of the story?
This episode will be a big one, and I’m quite proud of it. Some of my editors commented that they thought it was the best one yet, and I hope you think so, too.
Normally I’d aim to have the first audio posts up on Friday. However, for this episode, due to its length and the amount of effort needed for the audio versions, I’ve decided to wait. I’ve got good momentum going for Episode 4 (and a short in-between story, which I call Episode 3.1), and I’d like to keep that train rolling.
Episode 3’s audio version is still going to happen, but I can’t say when for sure.
Thank you for reading!

Episode 3 will soon be here!
Other-Terrestrial Episode 3 – Trauma will begin posting very soon! I am aiming for this coming Monday, but I believe that the 13th is more likely.
However, tomorrow will be a special prologue to begin the episode! Please come give a read then!
