Now that episode 11 is finished, I can give you some updates on the next episode!

Episode 12 is currently in-progress – it is approximately half written at this time. As you may guess, then, it’s not going to be getting posted very soon.

There are several factors at play here. I have two other jobs, and when combined my weeks sometimes go quite long. Occasionally, I’m fortunate enough to be able to write on my break at work, but that’s not all the time.

Another factor is the length; this coming episode will be, I predict, the longest I have written, into full-length novel territory. Currently, it is 35,000 words, and as I said – I am only half done. The longest episode prior to this, Episode 6 – Diplomatic Maneuvers (where they had the battle with the Hev) was 66,571 words in total.

The final reason this is taking so long is how much effort I am putting into this episode. It was one of the earliest concepts for a story I had, but I always knew it needed to wait until a certain time for it to have the proper impact.

I will be elaborating more on the episode soon, and keeping my readers updated on its progress, so please stay tuned!

Oh, one final thing – I will reveal the name of the upcoming episode; Exodus. And though the word is biblical, the story itself is not religious in nature.

I have really done my homework for this one to create as good a story as I can. I can’t wait to elaborate further.

My hopes of getting the editing for Episode 11 out this Monday proved to be overly-optimistic! It’s Mother’s Day, so I am spending time with family, and beyond that I’m just exhausted from 12-hour shifts (which I work again tomorrow).

The story’s done, but I don’t want to start putting out an unpolished work. I just need a few days off, which I’ll get starting on Friday.

So here are some updates.

Episode 11 is completely written, and is undergoing final editing – the process for this one has taken a long time not because it’s a difficult episode, but because I’ve been both very busy with a new job and off and on sick. It’s not severe or anything, but it becomes hard to focus on editing when you have a head cold.

However, I should have it ready to start posting by this coming Monday, May 15th.

The real issue is that it’s not a very long episode, and episode 12 (which I have started) is going to be a long one, so these hold-ups now will probably cause some delays down the road with regards to posting it.

There is one more episode planned after that – the series is not ending at 13, but I am going to take a pause and assess several elements of the story and more thoroughly plan out where the story is going after that. Don’t get me wrong – I do know the direction. There are just details to hammer out!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the series so far. I plan to keep going for as long as I have stories to tell.

Just a status update for everyone!

I have been writing hard, and the rough draft of Episode 7 is nearly finished. There are six more parts of Episode 6 left, which will take us through next Monday, the 22nd.

Right now I plan to let that week pass as a slight break as I finish the final edits to the episode and prepare it for posting – then it should begin going out on the 29th of this month!
